Sophie shows how to combine your job with a fit and healthy lifestyle

Sophie is 32 years old, works as an account manager at an educational publishing house and still has time for a healthy and fit lifestyle. Fit_Food_Soof tells us how she does it. What is her secret? Find out in the interview below:

The Interview:

What’s your favorite sport?

It’s hard to choose between fitness, running and body sense. Body sense is a combination of yoga, pilates and tai-chi!

How many times a week do you work out?

On average four times a week.

Which (fitness) goals have you reached?

I got a flatter stomach and some more muscles!

What do you eat on a regular day?

For breakfast I eat cottage cheese with oats, broken linseed and fruits, for example blue berries. In between I like to eat a slice of bread with chicken or peanut butter. For lunch I often choose a salad, for example a salad with quinoa, feta, rucola and avocado. Then a banana or cooked egg and cherry tomatoes as a snack. For dinner I have at least 200 grams of vegetables combined with chicken/beefsteak/fish/something vegetarian with nuts/cheese/egg and something like (sweet) potato/brown rice/whole-wheat pasta/couscous. In the evening I often go for a piece of chocolate and right before I get to bed, I like to get some nuts or coconut quark with pineapple. I drink mostly green tea, rooibos tea, water and cappuccino. In weekends I love to drink some wine or gin-tonic and I love to go out for dinner as well!

Do you use supplements?

Yes, I drink protein shakes and eat protein bars!

How long have you been on your fitjourney?

I’ve been practicing sports for years and I’ve found healthy food interesting for a long time. Since the beginning of 2016 I became much more aware of the importance of healthy food and I started to pay more attention to weight training as well.

Why did you start your fitjourney?

I just wanted a flatter stomach and some more muscles!

What’s your best tip to get fit?

First of all: find a sport that you like, you’ll carry on much longer! Further, it’s important to know what your body needs, the right amount of carbs, fat and protein so you can eat exactly towards your goals. And finally, only compare with yourself!

What do you like most about your lifestyle?

I’m feeling more proud of myself and I feel fitter and stronger!

Do you have any more goals in the future?

I would love to get some more muscles!

Who is your biggest inspiration ‘fitwise’?

My husband Richard is my biggest inspiration! He knows a lot about fitness, read a lot about nutrition and always knows how to motivate me!
